In honor of the Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company’s Brew Master Alec Moss has created Mavericks® Motor Head Ale, a special brew that celebrates the crisp and well known American pale ale flavor. The Mavericks® Motor Head Ale is the official beer for the Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show on Sunday, April 25, and will be available at the brewery beginning April 18. This refreshing light-bodied Ale is an American-style pale ale as opposed to a Pillar Point Pale, which is English-style. American developed and grown Cascade and Simcoe hops are used, giving this brew a notable citrus essence and adding a floral element. The blend of both the Cascade and Simcoe hops creates a pleasingly aromatic and flavorful pale ale complete with a light hoppy flavor. The Mavericks Motor Head Ale is slightly dry and bitter in the finish and there is a lingering clean aftertaste and the alcohol level is approximately 5.4 percent by volume. The Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show, taking place Sunday, April 25, is a massive and awe-inspiring showcase of motorized mechanical marvels from throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. This one-of-a-kind event on the coast benefits the Coastside Adult Day Health Center in Half Moon Bay. Featuring more then 2,000 antique, vintage, classic, custom and exotic displays, this is a must-see event for automobile, aviation, motorcycle and train enthusiasts. This festive event, open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Half Moon Bay Airport, located just yards from the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, will feature helicopter and bi-plane rides, kid’s amusements, food and live entertainment. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for ages 11-17 and 65 and older, free for kids age 10 and younger and parking is free.
