Tasting Tent to Feature Exceptional Microbrews & Wines at Connoisseurs' Marketplace
Connoisseurs of wine and beer are known for their discriminating and exquisite taste. They’ll be in tasting heaven at Connoisseur’s Marketplace—Menlo Park’s popular mid-summer festival of the arts, July 20-21—which is bringing back the Microbrew & Wine Tasting Tent that has become a festival staple.
“We’re excited and pleased to offer an array of seductive and tasty beers and wines from some of the top producers in the world,” says festival chairman Rick Ciardella. “On the beer side, we searched high and low for the most exotic and rare examples of these sudsy treasures and have come up with a truly wonderful list of beers that will absolutely fascinate and astound festival goers.”
The beer tasting menu is exceptional: Anchor Liberty Ale, Ballast Point Pale Ale, Ommegang Seduction, Anderson Valley Summer Solstice, Pyramid Curve Ball, Full Sail Wassail, 21st Amemdment Bitter American, Mendocino Brewing Bock, Drake’s Brewing 1500 American Pale Ale, Stone Brewing IPA and Heretic Evil Twin Blood Red West Coast Amber. Special thanks to our sponsor, DBI Beverage, for making the beer tasting possible.
Taste the world-class varietals from Woodside Vineyards, one of the oldest and smallest California wineries, boasting estate wines from the Santa Cruz Mountains that are carefully nurtured from vineyard to bottle. Enjoy their outstanding 2009 Kings Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, 2010 Woodside Chardonnay and 2009 Estate Pinot Noir. Special thanks to Woodside Vineyards and Buff Giurlani for making the wine tasting possible. For information on Woodside Vineyards wine, wine club and events, visit www.woodsidevineyards.com.
The Microbrew and Wine Tasting Tent will be open from 12 noon to 5 pm to coincide with the adjacent chefs’ demonstrations. It is located on Doyle Street and Santa Cruz Avenue next to Left Bank Restaurant.
