What: 

Fine arts booth39th Annual Mountain View Art & Wine Festival. One of America’s top art festivals, more than 200,000 arts lovers gather in Silicon Valley’s epicenter for this vibrant multicultural celebration featuring 600 professional artists and craftmakers showing exceptional handcrafted wares, live music by big name cover bands with headliners The Joe Sharino Band and The California Cowboys, festive food and drink with premium wines, microbrews and margaritas, an organic and green products showcase, health and wellness displays, home and garden exhibits and action-packed Kids’ Park with the new Best Buy School of Rock Stage, entertainment, amusements and hands-on art. Admission is free.

Exceptional Art, Fine Crafts … 600 of America’s most talented artists and craftmakers show original work in ceramics, fiber, glass, fine art, jewelry, leather, metal, paper, sculpture, and wood. Gorgeous vases, flatware, clocks, dishes, wall and table decorations, stained and beveled glass, etchings, sculptures, photography, oil and watercolor paintings, beadwork, gold and silver jewelry, vests, handbags, hats, wallets, footwear, windchimes, and waterfalls will be among the fine wares available.

Live Music … twelve dynamite bands playing live Motown, rhythm and blues, swing, rock ‘n roll, jazz, soul, world-beat, Celtic folk, funk, disco, Latin rock, rumba flamenco and party music on stage and street. The lineup includes The Joe Sharino Band, Caravanserai, The California Cowboys, La Ventana, Zoo Station, Emerson & The Growiser Band, Kaweh, Dreamroad, Bob Culbertson, Aryeh Frankfurter, HeartStrings Music and Ancient Winds.

Best Buy School of Rock Stage… YOU become the rock star playing DJ Hero and Guitar Hero 5, incredible interactive gaming experiences, on stage before adoring fans. The groundbreaking DJ Hero features diverse music genres, including hip-hop, rhythm-and-blues, Motown, electronica and dance. Providing a way for fans to continue to fulfill their rock fantasies, Guitar Hero 5 features a four-person band experience, including lead and bass guitars, drums and vocals, complete with LCD TVs and rock-star lighting.

Kids’ Park … hands-on art booths, Mobile Rock’s 24-foot climbing wall, temporary tattoos, the tummy-tickling Froghopper and Helicopter rides, Cat-In-The Hat bounce house, Tsunami Tidal Wave slide, create-your-own colorful wax hands art, whimsical sand sculptures, and thrilling virtual reality motion theater.

Festive Food & Drink … fresh corn-on-the-cob, tamales, tacos, Philly cheesesteaks, baked potatoes with the trimmings, pizza, nachos, lamb/beef/chicken kababs, smoked bratwurst, spicy beef sausages, made-to-order crepes, garlic chicken sandwiches, teriyaki pork/chicken/shrimp skewers, garlic fries, orange chicken with fried rice, key lime calamari, fish and chips, smoked turkey legs, nachos with cheese, smoothies, kettle corn and more. Plus award-winning wines, margaritas and microbrews including a special India Pale Ale brewed for the festival by Tied House.
