Delicious Drink on Tap

Sip and Savor Craft Brews, Fine Wine, Refreshing Mojitos, Margaritas and Sangria

The outstanding work done by the wine tasting panel is complete. After a rigorous tasting process, the wine list for this year’s Mountain View Art & Wine Festival is set. And it’s impressive to say the least!

Festival microbrews

The festival takes place September 10-11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Castro Street.

“We’re excited and pleased with the exceptional quality and variety of our wine and adult beverage offerings,” said Katrina Apilado, programs and events manager at the Chamber of Commerce. “We’ve come up with a wonderful drink menu that will absolutely fascinate and delight festivalgoers. After all, it’s only fitting that a festival with world-class art, music and food also offer delicious drinks.”

The wines selected by the discriminating tasting panel include Torre Alta Pinot Grigio, Columbia Crest “Two Vines” Riesling, San Elias Sauvignon Blanc, 786 Chardonnay, Camelot Pinot Noir, 786 Merlot, Penfolds “Rawson’s Retreat” Shiraz and Stimson Estate Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon … truly luscious vintages from several outstanding winemakers. Returning by popular demand, Morada Sangria—a perfect warm afternoon refresher—also will be served. Many thanks to our wine suppliers DBI Beverage and Artisan Wine Depot for their support.

Tied House

Every year, Mountain View’s Tied House Cafe & Brewery celebrates the festival with a delicious, commemorative brew. Crafted with the coming change of seasons, it’s always a big hit with beer lovers. “Every year, we look forward to seeing our customers and friends out enjoying the festival,” said Carolyn Hopkins-Vasquez, Tied House’s Director of Marketing. “It’s Mountain View’s signature event and we’re honored to support it.”

This year’s special festival brew from Tied House is Highway 6 Lager which celebrates the old and the new by mixing traditional old world Lager yeast with Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand. The festival brew also celebrates the expansion of Tied House with their new sister company, Hermitage Brewing Company. Grown outside of the town of Nelson, New Zealand, off State Highway 6, the Nelson Sauvin hop is known as the Sauvignon Blanc of the hop world for good reason. Not only is it grown in a similarly mild climate, but its flavor is similar to white grapes, gooseberries, and tropical fruit: all commonly found in Sauvingnon Blanc wine. Take a trip on Highway 6 with us to explore the wonders of the new world with this limited edition brew.

Tied House’s stellar Cascade Amber, along with M.E Fox Distributing brands Stella Artois, Sam Adams Octoberfest, Budweiser and Bud Light Lime will also be served.

Enjoy a Sauza Original Margarita or Cruzan Rum Premium Mojito for a deliciously refreshing beverage alternative. Genuine Sauza Blanco Tequila masterfully blended with premium triple sec gives Sauza Original Margarita—the world’s most popular cocktail—its distinctive, smooth, and mouth-watering flavor. Cruzan Aged Light Rum blended with fresh lime juice, soda, a dash of bitters and mint poured over ice and you’ve got a delicious mojito, perfect for a warm afternoon stroll.
